We met last week with the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) to review the draft document. We are in the process of making changes to reflect their comments and ideas, and will have a final document for their review next week. The schedule for Turnagain Community Council (TCC) review is to have a public review draft of the document available two weeks before the next TCC meeting (the meeting is on November 5th). The intent is to have the CAC present the draft and answer questions, and then return for the December 3rd TCC meeting where a resolution of approval for the document will be sought. Beyond that, the Master Plan will enter into Municipality of Anchorage approval process including going to the Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission, and to the Assembly for approval.
We hope to see you at the TCC meetings!

Block Party
We were at the Block Party last night to answer questions and get feedback from people. While we didn't have an inflatable play castle or a bucking bronco salmon, we still did get a number of people who stopped by to share their thoughts. It appeared that most people were happy with the master plan's direction, and had constructive feedback for how to further improve it and make it appropriate.
We will be making final revisions to the master plan now, with guidance from our community advisory group. We will check in with the Turnagain Community Council this fall, and then the plan will begin to move through the Municipality's process for official approval. Stay tuned for more information.
Suzanne Little (Parks and Recreation) speaking with Willis Lyford.
Sullivan making his request for softer fences (his black eye is from the face-painting area, not a fence).
A few photos of what our booth didn't have, but the Block Party had to offer (in addition to lots of food).
